HealthCap Adds Experienced Senior Finance and Accounting Leader with Hiring of David Paul

DALLAS (January 2, 2020) – HealthCap, a healthcare real estate investment and development company, announces that David H. Paul has joined its team as Vice President, Accounting and Finance. Mr. Paul will be based at the company’s headquarters in Dallas, Texas, where he will be responsible for all aspects of HealthCap’s corporate and property accounting functions, including administrative oversight and reporting for external lender and investor relationships.

Mr. Paul is an accomplished leader with more than 20 years of experience in accounting, reporting, investor relations and asset management including nearly 15 years across a range of institutional quality open and closed-end commercial real estate funds and structures.

Mr. Paul joins HealthCap from Standish Management, a third-party private equity fund administrative servicer with more than 1,000 client funds under management.  Prior to Standish, he spent five years serving as an Assistant Controller in the Dallas office of Clarion Partners, a diversified institutional U.S. real estate investment manager with approximately $50 billion in assets under management, where he supported an open-end REIT with more than $10 billion AUM.  Before Clarion, Mr. Paul served in various accounting management, asset management and investor relations roles for nearly a decade at Behringer Harvard, a global institutional-quality investment program manager for individual and institutional investors across a number of REIT, joint venture and proprietary program structures.

Mr. Paul completed his undergraduate studies at the University of North Texas and is a licensed CPA.
